Becoming a Man
Technological changes in mobile devices have impacted so much on me. Most notable changes were while I was a teenager in college. I felt mostly pressured by my fellow college mates who had the sleekest and latest smart phones on the market. Without a one, you were perceived as outdated. That is life in college – and everyone must get use to it I was one of those who bowed to the pressure. I felt inadequate without a smart phone. And thus I purchased my first one.
Needless to say, i sacrificed part of my upkeep money to get one. It was an LG make. When LG G3 was announced its entry into the market, emotions ringed my mind on how I will get it. During its first launch I got it at a friendly price and I longed that it would give a good impression. It never failed me.
One of the things that caused a ripple of excitement when using it was the circle cases that protect it at the back and in the front with a safer material. I had to handle with precaution even though the cases assured protection against drops and scrapes. On that time I could really capture pictures due to the megapixel quality of the phone.
The phone offered a lot to me – saving data privately and providing a backup utility was amazing. The biggest fuss of it was the screen. The screen technology was LCD which had an impressive resolution. I could browse the web maximum since the phone was powerful enough to make scaling content slick and responsive too.
This time I saw the difference. It was easy to locate friends since I called them easily. Having a phone also introduced me to fun games like ‘tempo run’ among others. It staved off boredom when I was stuck in line. I easily accessed many places by navigating through Google maps. This was an assurance that I couldn’t get lost. Other times it was efficient to call for emergency.
My phone processor speed and android version – jelly bean was up to date thus it enabled me to access different applications in the play store. This time I used my phone as a study tool and I could read all my notes and PDFs.
More so I was introduced to social media sites by the new phone. Sites like Facebook and twitter were easily accessible. Not only creating account in social sites but also read news across the country and I received all updates. This kept me in touch with all trending matters. Since these days I have enjoyed using the phone especially.
Group chatting too became my endeavor and it was then that I realized that I had too become a smart person.
